GRRR… where to begin!? Ever since Covid-19 happened, there are so many new shillers on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.

I’m sure everyone knows that people with huge followers on social media platforms make a lot of money from advertising, posting a picture on Instagram, shout out tweets on Twitter or Facebook, videos on YouTube or Tiktok.

We live in a digital world where everything is internet-based and influencers are used to promote all types of products. Nothing wrong with that, except some influencers just don’t care about their fans or followers, especially “Crypto Influencers”.

Crypto influencers start like everyone else. They join the space, start by shilling for free and once they have enough subscribers and followers… their journey to scamming begins. They will start accepting payment for each post/tweet shilling any token or project that pays. What’s the price? It may vary from 5k to 10k per post/tweet. One developer shared with me that some influencers charges up to 100k for multiple posts & videos. Yes, because of your support these monkeys are able to do what they are doing today, especially the ones claiming they have “insider info”….

Above are the 3 acronyms that influencers use to save their ass from getting sued. They ask you to do your own due diligence, but did you honestly do that or take their word for it? Some followers might, but many don’t and simply APE IN! So what happens when the project gets rekt?

Influencers be like, Oh noo guys! We got rekt, I got rekt, we all got rekt. The developer is ignoring and they are not responding back to me. I’m sorry guys I have no idea what happen. The developer lack of leadership. I started covering their projects because “I thought they were good”. Project ABC developer just shut down their website and they are gone but anyway here is a new token project is called Project XYZ.

YouTube Ads & Merchandise

YouTube ads and merchandise are influencers source of income. To be fair there is no harm here. They are “content creator” *cough* scammers… so if you support them buy yourself a merch or watch their videos, thanks for keeping these scammers ALIVE.

Beside that we have advertisement revenue from YouTube. The higher the traffic, the more likes and subscribers they have the more advertising royalties will be paid to them by YouTube. Now you understand why influencer always start their video and end their video with “Hit the like 👍🏻 button and Subscribe to the channel”

Influencer pump regular videos and shilled multiple projects to let you know that they are in and you should too. That’s 🚩 to me.

How scam/shilled projects work with “Influencers?” Here is a quick step-by-step guide on how it is done.

Step 1 - Project will contact influencer and offer them payment, crypto or both in exchange for a shill promo.

Step 2 - Influencers then will make a video with contents about the crypto project and post it publicly and tell you why you should get in the bandwagon with them of course (NFA & DYOR) 😏

Step 3 - After releasing the content to the public, generally a small pump will start and many more other paid and unpaid influencer will start to make video about it because the hype already started.

Step 4 - As the token is hyping up day by day and lots of tweets, retweets, hashtags are made and done. That is the time where the Influencers start selling while you’re coming in. “ thank you for your contribution”

Step 5 - By now I’m sure the Influencers has profit some from the first few pump while you people are “buying the dip”, all thanks to you wonderful people.

Step 6 - While the project is still pumping hard because regular people are still buying the dip, influencer are already positioning to sell their remaining tokens and ready to move on to the next project.

Step 7- In the end, the “Influencers” would have sold mostly out of their position, moved on to the next project and repeat this cycle while you are down 50–90%.
